Delta Education and Outreach Projects

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to Water Education Foundation under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 1 5. 533 Public Law 111-88, Section 112, Use of Cooperative Agreements.

Estimated total amount of agreement is $528,30

7. 61 with the Recipient providing a total of $278,30 7. 61, Reclamation is providing $250,00 0. 00 in Fiscal Year 201 9. The purpose of this project is to educate the Delta Public Outreach Program participants about water supply reliability, water quality, the Delta ecological restoration efforts and how to protect local water resources through water tours, maps, and layperson’s guides.

In addition, the Project Water education for Teachers (WET), will continue to provide high quality water conservation education trainings on the headwaters and Delta.

The Project WET Program’s goals are to increase awareness of efficient water use in California schools and the resulting benefits to the human population, fish and wildlife and water quality.

BOR-MP-19-N020 for additional information) A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2. 14(B)(2) & (4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
