working groups assigned to specific issues, participation at annual meetings for presentations and discussion of issues of mutual interest, new developments in the field, upcoming challenges and recommendations, along with training and workshops for keeping state and federal regulatory personnel informed and educated on new technologies, issues, and regulatory procedures.

The goal of the guidance, recommendations, suggested regulations, and exchange of information is to increase the available tools, knowledge, and capabilities for radiological health staff throughout the country.
