2019-2020 Fulbright Program Logistics

The U. S. Embassy South Africa Public Affairs Section, U. S. Department of State (PAS) is pleased to announce a call for proposals to manage the logistics for participants in the 2019-20 Fulbright Foreign Student Program and the 2019-20 Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar Program.

The grantee

will work cooperatively with the Public Affairs Sections in Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg.

The Fulbright Program was created in 1946 under legislation introduced by Senator J.

William Fulbright of Arkansas.

Since then over 2000 South Africans have participated in this exchange.

This grant will facilitate travel logistics and other related expenses of approximately 27 South African Fulbright grantees including domestic travel related to interviews and the pre-departure orientation, and provide administrative support for travel to the U. S. including travel allowance, transportation from home city to departure city, and hotel and meals in departure city if needed, as well as international roundtrip air fares.

S. Territory or Possession; Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U. S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.

Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.
