Purpose of Program:
The purpose of the Predominantly Black Institutions (PBI) Program is to strengthen PBIs to carry out programs in the following areas:
science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM); health education; internationalization or globalization; teacher preparation; or improving educational outcomes of African-American males.

Eligible Applicants: To be eligible to apply, an institution of higher education (IHE) must have submitted the ``Application for Designation as an Eligible Institution'' and must have received FY 2010 designation as an eligible institution for programs under title III and title V of the HEA.
