Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Rocky Mountain CESU

The U. S. Geological Survey Southwest Biological Science Center (SBSC) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU Partner for project titled:
¿Biological Soil Crust Inoculum Survival and Growth Under Field Conditions¿, for research to build a program to (1) improve biological soil crust

inoculum survival in field conditions and (2) develop improved metrics for tracking biological soil crust inoculum growth.

These are currently significant limitations to employing biological soil crusts effectively in restoration of arid landscapes.
