The US Geological Survey, Tennessee Water Science Center, is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research related to impacts on southeastern grasslands from climate change and invasive species.
Research Objectives:
1. To perform field experiments in a tall-grass prairie
site to examine interacting effects of climate change and invasive species.
2. To meet research objective 1 above, field experiments will be conducted to examine interactive effects of warming and precipitation treatments and the invasive species Lespedeza cuneata on native plant communities in tall-grass prairies.
3. Findings from the field experiments will be published as one or more USGS data releases, with appropriate metadata, along with one or more scientific journal papers.
