Cooperative Agreement for CESU-affiliated Partner with Rocky Mountain Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit

The U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) Fort Collins Science Center (FORT) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research related to planning, implementation, and monitoring of efforts to restore riparian ecosystems in western North America.

Work is to be focused on assessment of

different approaches for restoring riparian systems, such as revegetating native species, managing water deliveries downstream of dams, controlling invasive species, and dam removal.

Assessments may include not only the restoration approaches, but also the outcomes such as functionality of restored habitats in terms of wildlife habitat, recreation, or other stakeholder objectives.
