This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the Lost Wages Support for Living Organ Donors Demonstration Project.

The primary purpose of this project is to assess whether reimbursing lost wages increases individuals’ willingness to become living organ donors.

Eligible applicants include public and nonprofit private entities.

Faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply.

If the applicant is an Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) member, and/or if the applicant is working with a consortium that includes OPTN members, the applicant and all other OPTN members involved in the project are expected to be in compliance with the HHS final rule governing the operation of the OPTN (42 CFR part 121 or visit http://optn.transplant.hrsa.gov).

Foreign entities are not eligible for funding under this notice.
