accountants.

The specialization and certification program must build on existing accounting skills, have a strong emphasis on practical and hands-on learning opportunities for participants, and work within applicable Serbian and EU statutes and international standards.

Developing forensic accountants in Serbia will help combat fraud and corrupt business practices, combat domestic and transnational organized crime, support prosecutors, judges, and defense attorneys in their work, help counter endemic corruption, and increase citizens’ trust in their justice system. It is essential that sustainability is incorporated into the program from the beginning.

As such, this project should use a train-the-trainer model and develop curricula and other related material to ensure that instructors/trainers can sustainably replicate the project in the coming years.

All curricula, documents, programs, training aids, and all other related material will become the property of INL to enable replication and use in future years.
