Developing Gender-Inclusive Workplace Policies for Indian Companies

PAS Mumbai is seeking applications for promoting women’s economic empowerment by helping Indian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) develop and implement practices and policies that better attract and retain female staff.

This project aims to encourage and enable Indian companies to

develop and implement practices and policies that better attract and retain female staff.

Through a series of training workshops, American and Indian experts will highlight global best practices, and share their experiences and expertise with the management and human resource leaders of select Indian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to help them better formulate, roll out, and enforce gender-inclusive workplace policies.

Project Objectives:
Within 18 months, train management and HR leaders of at least 100 SMEs in the effective design and implementation of workplace policies and practices that will improve gender equity in their organizations.

A key component of the training will be the sharing of best practices adopted by U. S. counterparts and networking between Indian and U. S. SMEs.
