NATIONAL OCEANOGRAPHIC PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (NOPP) 2022 BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT

On behalf of the National Oceanographic Partnership Program (NOPP), the Office of Naval Research (ONR) solicits research proposals under this Broad Agency Announcement (BAA #N00014-22-S-B003).

Congress established the NOPP via Title II, subtitle E, of Public Law 104-201 to promote the national

goals of assuring national security, advancing economic development, protecting quality of life, and strengthening science education and communication by improving knowledge of the ocean.

Over twenty agencies participate in the NOPP.

They are identified on the NOPP website:
www.nopp.org.In this BAA, NOPP participants have identified two ocean research topics of mutual and emerging interest.

Selected projects will be awarded and funded by individual agencies.

All successful offerors will be notified, and the NOPP office will provide the 2022 NOPP project announcement on its website.

Up to $23 million over three (3) years may be available for awards under this solicitation, subject to appropriation, availability of funds, and final approval by the participating NOPP agencies.

NOPP funding will be dependent on individual participating agency policies, procedures, and regulations.

There will be no classified work funded under this announcement.For information on the two research topics, see Appendix 1 of the attached solicitation document.
