Fostering Leaders: Facilitated Dialogs 2019 YPP-Youth Work Program

This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award financial assistance for the following project activities.

Master Cooperative Agreement Number P14AC00340 was entered into by and between

the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, (NPS), and Community Teamwork, Inc.

to provide hands-on service opportunities for youth to help develop a generation of skilled workers, educated and active citizens, future leaders and stewards of natural historical and cultural resources.

A team of 6 diverse youth, work 30 hours each week during the summer .

These youth will work with park staff to assist with various projects and learn about cultural stewardship with hands on experience.

Youth will engage directly with visitors to the park, park staff, and members of the community all the while learning differing identities perspectives and experiences, whereby building confidence and lifelong learning skills.
