This phased award program will facilitate completion of predoctoral dual degree dentist scientist training (F99) and progression to mentored postdoctoral positions in dental, oral and craniofacial research (K00).

It is anticipated that successful completion of this phased award program will enable dentist scientists to progress in their research careers.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) does not allow prospective fellows to propose to lead an independent clinical trial, but does allow prospective fellows to propose research experience in a clinical trial led by a sponsor or co-sponsor.
