Boosting Frontline Health Workers’ Ability in Responding to COVID-19 - Virtual Awareness and Capacity Building Training Project

The U. S. Embassy in Cameroon announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to support Cameroon’s COVID-19 response, focusing on increasing awareness, motivating informed and constructive action, supporting frontline medical workers, and/or countering misinformation.

Please

carefully follow all instructions below.

There are high numbers of COVID-19 in Cameroon and the outbreak is exacerbated by a variety of factors, including:
limited public awareness of risk, limited information on how the virus spreads and reliable preventive measures, and stigmatization of people affected by COVID-1 9. This funding opportunity seeks to promote change in the above factors.

Program Objectives (must include one or more):
● Improve awareness of COVID-19 and its risks in Cameroon, and access to relevant data analysis ● Combat misinformation about the disease and available treatments ● Encourage individuals to take measures to prevent transmission of the virus ● Counter stigmatization of people affected by COVID-19 ● Support the capacity of health workers to respond to COVID-19 and strengthen public trust in health providers Proposals should align with Cameroon’s COVID-19 response plan and must be implemented while respecting all physical distancing and other COVID-19 preventive measures.

These includes maintaining 2-meter separation between people, wearing masks, limiting large gatherings, etc.

Proposals should use virtual tools where it is more appropriate to do so to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission and should include associated costs (e.g.

data bundles for virtual workshop participants).
