Civic Education Initiative

The main focus of this activity will be on school-based civic education for older students (grades 9 – 12).

By expanding the availability of quality school-based civic education in Georgia, USAID will increase the skills and commitment of youth to participatory democracy.

incorporating gender equality in civics oriented activities, the program should also have a secondary impact on students’ attitudes towards women and the roles of women in public engagement – which over time would ideally lead towards a greater inclusion of women in political processes.
