This NIMH RFA concept seeks applications proposing experimental and non-experimental research that evaluates multilevel preventive strategies to reduce suicide risk (suicide ideation and behavior, including acts of self-harm/suicide) and promote resilience across the life span in low-and middle-income
countries (LMICs).
Globally, there is a critical need to implement culturally adapted multilevel preventive approaches at the individual (selective prevention) and population level (universal prevention) for people across the lifespan in LMICs, focusing on multiple risks and protective factors.
