Center for Coordination of Analytics, Science, Enhancement , and Logistics (CASEL) in Tobacco Regulatory Science (U54)

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) solicits applications for a Center for Coordination of Analytics, Science, Enhancement, and Logistics (CASEL) in Tobacco Regulatory Science.

CASEL will support the scientific research programs funded by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for

Tobacco Products (CTP), and will facilitate synthesis, coordination and communications of research and career enhancement within those programs.

The overall objective of CASEL is to support research programs that can inform the FDA CTP in tobacco product regulatory activities and actions.

Through leadership, coordination, and facilitation of collaborative efforts, CASEL can accelerate the advancement of science relevant to the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (FSPTCA).

The NIH and the FDA have formed an interagency partnership to foster research relevant to FDA's tobacco regulatory authorities.

The award under this FOA will be administered by the NIH using designated funds from the FDA CTP for tobacco regulatory science mandated by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (FSPTCA), Public Law 111-3 1.
