Improving Investigations and Prosecutions of Human Trafficking in Ghana

INL seeks to address the problem of human trafficking by strengthening the Government of Ghana's capability to investigate TIP cases and achieve successful prosecutions.

This project is intended to sustainably improve Ghana's capacity to investigate and prosecute human trafficking as

credit:


demonstrated by quantitative and qualitative results.

The implementer will partner with the Ghana Police Service (Anti-Human Trafficking Unit and Police-Prosecutors), Ghana Immigration Service (Anti-Human Smuggling and Trafficking Unit and GIS Prosecutors), and the Attorney General's Office (State Attorneys) to improve knowledge, policies, procedures, and inter-agency coordination on how to detect, investigate, document, charge, and prosecute cases of trafficking in persons, with emphasis on applying Ghana's anti-trafficking law.
