This project will support the increased capacity of Timor-Leste’s justice sector to handle a range of criminal justice issues, focused specifically on corruption, gender-based violence, and trafficking in persons.
The project will provide direct training to members of Timor-Leste’s
justice sector and establish training curricula/programs in order to increase the sector’s accountability, transparency, and resilience to counter corruption, gender-based violence, and trafficking in persons.
The target group for this project includes judges, prosecutors, public defenders, law students, members of the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Office of the Provedor for Human Rights and Justice (PDHJ), law enforcement, and civil society – especially those concerned with strengthening the justice sector as well as combating corruption, trafficking in persons, and gender-based violence.
