25th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between the United States and Vietnam
The U. S. Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City Public Affairs Section (PAS) is pleased to announce funding is available through the Public Diplomacy Federal Assistance Awards.
Twenty-five years after establishing diplomatic relations, the United States and Vietnam are trusted partners with a friendship
grounded in mutual respect.
In trade, development, education, health care, energy, and security, the United States and a strong and independent Vietnam are working together with a shared commitment to peace and prosperity.
As we share a quarter century of partnership in 2020, this request for proposals seeks to fund projects that further the U. S. Mission’s public diplomacy goals of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between the United States and Vietnam and renews our commitment to work together to ensure a bright future full of peace and prosperity for the American and Vietnamese people.
Proposals for projects must focus on one of the priority areas specified below.
Applicants should pay close attention to the Public Affairs Section’s goals, priority program objectives, target audiences, and geographic locations when developing their proposals.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Submissions are encouraged from U. S. and Vietnam entities with relevant programming experience.
This experience should be documented in the proposal.
Eligible entities include: • not-for-profit, civil society/non-governmental organizations • public educational institutions • individuals For-profit entities are not allowed to apply.
Previous federal award recipients who are not/were not in compliance with the terms of their financial and program reporting requirements are ineligible to apply.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure they are in compliance with all applicable terms, conditions, and Office of Management and Budget guidance and requirements.
Those organizations found to be in non-compliance may be found ineligible for funding or designated high risk if selected for funding.
