The National Park Service, within the Department of the Interior has announced funding in the amount of $35,000 to support the Genetic Analyses of Yellowstone Bison.

This non-competitive agreement with the Gulf Coast Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit will investigate haplotype frequencies. Such information is very valuable for investigating the genetics behind common diseases.
