The Fish and Wildlife Service, within the Department of the Interior has announced funding in the amount of $42,500 to support the Support of Captive Grizzly Bear Program.

The program is intended to perform research on the energetics, food habits and physiology of captive grizzly bears that can be applied to recovery efforts for the species.
