Immunization Strengthening through Measles Control and Related Childhood Morbidity/Mortality Reduction from Vaccine Preventable Diseases

The Department of Health and Human Services is providing support to the United Nations Foundation for global measles control.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is allocating $100,000,000 to reduce mortality by provision of bundled (vaccine and supplies required to ensure safe injections and safe disposal of vaccine vials and injection materials) measles that contains vaccine, technical, laboratory, programmatic consultants.

The support will allow the purchase of vaccine that contains antigens for measles and rubella and follows immunization policies of countries in need of this support.
