DoD Multiple Sclerosis Concept Award

The Army does more than simply defend our nation from foreign and military threats.

The Department of Defense is providing $840,000 to support high-risk studies that have the potential to reveal entirely new avenues for investigation in studying Multiple Sclerosis. Innovative research may introduce a new approach, challenge existing approaches, look at existing problems from new perspectives, or exhibit other uniquely creative qualities.

The grant is part of the Military Medical Research and Development Program which endeavors to reduce illness and injury among U.S. military personnel on the battlefield through basic and applied medical research executed largely through grants and contracts with civilian educational and research institutions.
