2011 Farmers Market Promotion Program Grants

The Agricultural Marketing Service, an arm of the Department of Agriculture, has announced $10 million in competitive grants that will be awarded by the Farmers Market Promotion Program.

The Farmers Market Promotion Program is designed to promote the domestic consumption of agricultural products by expanding direct producer-to-consumer marketing opportunities.

The awards range from $5,000 to $100,000. The program guidelines, application instructions and requirements can be found at www.ams.usda.gov/FMPP.
