Grants for the Rural Veterans Coordination Pilot

This program provides funds for a two-year pilot program with an objective of using grants to assess the feasibility of using community-based organizations and local, State, and Tribal government entities to provide outreach, to increase the coordination and availability of health care and benefits,
to increase the availability of high quality medical and mental health services, and to provide assistance to Veterans and their families as they transition from the military to civilian life.

The locations that must be considered shall be rural areas with high proportions of minorities in the population with limited access to health care and not in close proximity to an active duty military installation.
