Job Opportunities for Low-Income Individuals

The purpose of the JOLI program is to create new jobs to be filled by low-income individuals.

JOLI grantees create jobs through business plans and the provision of technical and/or financial assistance to private employers in the community.

Accordingly, JOLI grantees assist in creating
new employment and business opportunities for individuals receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and for other low-income individuals.

Funded projects focus on one of three program strategies to create new job and employment opportunities: (1) new business ventures, (2) business expansion, and (3) self-employment/micro-enterprise.
