FirstHome Mortgage Program in North Carolina

The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency is an independent agency of the State of California that is primarily responsible for providing financial assistance in the form of loans to low and moderate income first time home buyers in North Carolina.

The mission of the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency is "to create affordable housing opportunities for North Carolinians whose needs are not met by the market."

One of the programs of the agency is the FirstHome Mortgage Program wherein they seek to offer 30-year fixed interest rate mortgages to first time home buyers in the State of North Carolina.

The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency has formed partnerships with the Federal Housing Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the United States Department of Agriculture to ensure that their loan programs will be made available for every type of first time home buyer.   (continued...)
