The objective of this NLUF announcement is to make research grants or cooperative agreements available, on a competitive basis, to Principal Investigators (PIs) who are members of the teaching/research faculty of a U. S. university or academic institution or employees of U.S.-based companies, for experimental use of the unique resources of the OMEGA Laser Facility at UR/LLE, through the Joint Program in High Energy Density Laboratory Plasmas (JPHEDLP) sponsored by the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences (OFES) in the Office of Science and NNSA, both in the DOE.

Adjunct professors, visiting professors, and post-doctoral fellows are ineligible to be Principal Investigators.
