Accelerated Innovation Deployment (AID) Demonstration Program

The FHWA continues the Accelerated Innovation Deployment (AID) Demonstration authorized within the Technology and Innovation Deployment Program (TIDP) under the Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act.

The AID Demonstration provides incentive funding for any project activities


eligible for assistance under title 23, U.S.C.

in any phase of a highway transportation project between project planning and project delivery including planning, financing, operation, structures, materials, pavements, environment, and construction that address the TIDP goals.

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (693JJ321NF-AIDDP) requests grant applications during the identified solicitation period, provides selection criteria, application requirements, and the evaluation process.

Entities eligible to apply (Applicants) are State DOTs, Federal Land Management Agencies, and tribal governments.

Consistent with other FHWA funding provided to tribes, federally recognized tribes identified on the list of “Indian Entities Recognized and Eligible to Receive Services from the Bureau of Indian Affairs” (published at 77 FR 47868) are eligible to apply.

Metropolitan planning organizations and local governments must apply through the State DOT as a subrecipient.
