The U. S. Consulate General Lagos, Public Affairs Section (PAS) is pleased to issue this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for registered Nigerian non-profit organizations with experience in event planning and execution interested in organizing and implementing a one-day alumni summit for 200 alumni


of U. S. government exchange programs in October 202 2. Exchange alumni are a community of individuals who have participated in and completed a U. S. government-funded or sponsored exchange program in the United States or their home country.

In Nigeria, there are over 9,000 exchange alumni, many of whom are members of alumni associations across Nigeria that work together to solve challenges in their communities.

The U. S. Consulate seeks a qualified organization to plan and implement a one-day summit that will host 200 alumni to network, exchange ideas, and discuss solutions to community challenges.

The proposal should include a detailed plan to organize and implement the following activities:
· All logistics including securing a venue to lodge 200 alumni and hold the one-day summit.

Alumni will arrive the day before the summit in the afternoon, attend the summit the next day, and depart the day after the summit.

Set up meeting space for summit to include technical setup and support.

Arrange catering for one day of conference attendance, including a coffee break, lunch, and dinner.

Booking two nights of hotel accommodation (double rooms) that include breakfast in or around the summit venue for 200 alumni.

Manage and disburse an agreed allowance (per diem) of $50 per person to alumni summit attendees.

Create promotional products for the events, including banners, backdrops, flyers, and invitations.

Source and negotiate with all necessary vendors and suppliers.

Work with the U. S. Consulate team to invite relevant attendees and participants to the summit.

Work with the U. S. Consulate team on the schedule of the summit.

Proposals should be detailed to include timelines, venue(s), suppliers, staffing, and budgets to cover all listed expectations, first aid, Covid-19 protocols, and other administrative charges.

This notice outlines PAS’ funding priorities and the procedures for submitting funding applications.

Implementation of this program remains subject to the approval and availability of U. S. Government fiscal year 2022 (FY 2022) funds.
