Clinical and Public Health Curriculum Development, Training, Mentoring, and Implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement for the Haitian Healthcare System under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $4,500,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.This NOFO supports activities that:
a) build and enhance the capacity of Haiti’s public health workforce to improve


quality HIV care and treatment and prevention services, including prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV, and b) support Haiti’s Ministry of Health (MSPP) in its normative role to improve standards of health services.

This NOFO aims to build upon previous interventions to improve:Service delivery by providing technical assistance (TA) to health facilities providing HIV services through clinical mentoring;Health workforce development by a) providing high quality and tailored in-service learning experiences, through training and coaching for diverse site-level providers, partner organization representatives, and MSPP departmental representatives; and b) pre-service training for specialized nurses to promote task-sharing in HIV management;National Standards of HIV health services delivery (SHSD) by working with MSPP in creating and regularly updating its national HIV-related guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and job aids; andQuality of services and activities by supporting MSPP in implementing a defined and tailored continuous quality improvement (CQI) model at the national and sub-national levels.
