Noncommunicable Disease Prevention and Health Promotion in the Region of the Americas, PAHO.

The program activities will address the substantial and growing global public health problem of NCDs which will include chronic diseases and its risk factors, injuries, and environmental health risk factors by supporting NCD surveillance, partnerships, capacity building and program evaluation.

Using

these strategies, data will be utilized to inform policy and program development, increase capacity and awareness among health professionals, increase the use of evidence based interventions and increase the overall leadership of NCD related programs in countries in the PAHO region.
