The Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 Presidential Residence Protection Assistance (PRPA) Grant will provide Federal funds to reimburse state and local law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for law enforcement personnel costs incurred while protecting any non-governmental residence of the President that is designated

53 0. (a) For an additional amount for ``Federal Emergency Management Agency --Federal Assistance'', $12,700,000, to remain available until September 30, 2021, exclusively for providing reimbursement of extraordinary law enforcement personnel costs for protection activities directly and demonstrably associated withany residence of the President that is designated or identified to be secured by the United States Secret Service.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Eligible applicants include individuals who are currently enrolled in, or who have applied and intend to enroll in, a research-based Master’s degree program in oceanography, marine science, environmental science, ocean engineering, resource management, coastal community social science, or a related field at an institution of higher education.

Top priority will be given to applicants who are citizens, nationals, or permanent residents of the following countries: Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.

Preference will also be given to applicants who conduct research in the aforementioned countries, or other non-US countries and territories in the Pacific Islands region.

An eligible applicant must apply through the university or other institution of higher learning where the applicant is obtaining their Masters degree.

While the applicant’s university or other institution of higher learning must submit the full proposal application to www.grants.gov, the individual applicant is allowed to directly submit the Letter of Intent to the Program Manager.
