of a professional American English certificate course for the faculty members and final year students of Industrial and Commercial Institute of Pemba, as well as the creation of a separate short-term training course focused on developing technical skills, that will allow underprivileged youth in Cabo Delgado to qualify for job opportunities and/or create local jobs, which contributes to boosting the economy of the Province and economic prosperity for individuals.

The applicant may also create with the help of an American expert or organization a separate English for Tourism course that can be implemented into the curriculum of the Hospitality and Tourism course of the Institute.

The professionals that graduate from courses at the Industrial and Commercial Institute of Pemba, are often unable to fill the staffing gaps in the oil and gas industry in province of Cabo Delgado due to lack of English Language skills.

The lack of employment for graduates, leads to discontent and youth marginalization.

Additionally, English language for graduates in the areas of hospitality and management will be essential to revitalize the tourism sector of Cabo Delgado, which will create jobs and further foster a future of peace and stability.

The creation of an English Club to complement skills learned in the classroom is also an integral part of the program.

The organization should also be in position to design and introduce a curriculum that will allow the beneficiaries to provide English Language lessons for the student body at the Institute.

The proposal should also evaluate and ensure that the faculty have good proficiency in English to teach English classes to future cohorts of students.

The short-term training course focused on electricity and welding should incorporate a curriculum that will develop technical skills needed to work in the oil and gas sector.
