STATE ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT PROGRAM (SEJCA)

This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits from eligible applicants project proposals to receive financial assistance through the State Environmental Justice Cooperative Agreement (SEJCA) initiative.

The objective of the SEJCA initiative is to provide funding to eligible entities

credit:


so that they may work collaboratively with an affected community(ies) to understand, promote and integrate approaches to provide meaningful and measurable improvements to the public health and/or environment in the community(ies).

The funding will provide the means for the applicant to support efforts to mitigate environmental justice concerns in the affected community(ies)1, which then may be broadened to a more comprehensive approach.

Applicants will be expected to work with the affected community(ies) and their representative organizations to achieve meaningful and measurable results during the funding period.
