protection project recently constructed on Martin National Wildlife Refuge.

Maryland DNR will work cooperatively with the USFWS in planning and implementing this monitoring program.

The Cooperator has the unique ability to integrate project level monitoring with state-wide protocols, data bases, and analysis, making the utility of these data much broader than otherwise possible.

Further, The Cooperator has conducted or is conducting similar monitoring in the area and has the ability to use historic data sets to aid in the development of this project.

This project is authorized by the Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013, Public Law 113- 2. The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 5, intends to make a sole source award of a Cooperative Agreement to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
