FY 2016 CVISN Notice of Funding Availability

The Commercial Vehicle Information Systems and Networks (CVISN) grant program provides funding for States to advance technological capability and promote the deployment of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) applications for commercial vehicle operations (CVO), including commercial motor vehicle

credit:


(CMV), commercial driver, and carrier-specific information systems and networks.

These ITS/CVO applications include the real-time sharing of CMV safety data between FMCSA and CVISN States, online permitting and credential payment systems between States and motor carriers, electronic safety and credential screening of CMVs past weigh stations with the vehicles in motion, regional truck parking availability and reservation systems, and active work zone notification and routing systems for CMVs.
