Health Profession Opportunity Grants (HPOG) University Partnership Research Grants

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE) is announcing that it anticipates competitively awarding cooperative agreements to support new research under the Health Profession Opportunity Grants

credit:

(HPOG) Program.

The cooperative agreements to eligible applicants to support researchers and scholars will augment the national and tribal evaluation of HPOG grants by focusing on questions relevant to the implementation of, and outcomes associated with, health care career pathways programs for low-income and low-skilled individuals.

The cooperative agreements will support research and evaluation that will answer specific questions about HPOG services within local contexts to inform and improve relevant policy and practice decisions.

Specific research questions or topics of interest will be delineated in the full funding opportunity announcement.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate a partnership with an HPOG program(s) as an integral part of the research plan development and execution.

Applicants may choose to partner with an HPOG program(s) funded under the first round of HPOG (FY 2010 – FY 2015) or the second round of HPOG (FY 2015 – FY 2020).
