Additional Information of Eligibility:
Specifically: This competition is limited to States that do not currently (FY 2007-2009) have an active SLRP grant with the Health Resources and Services Administration.

Public Law 110-355, which became effective October 8, 2008, amended the definition of “State” (U.S.C.

254q-1(h)).

The following are now eligible to apply for SLRP grants: the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U. S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, Palau, the Marshall Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

The program operated with grant funds must be administered directly by a State agency.
