HABITAT MANAGEMENT AND SURVEYS, PLANT NURSERY MANAGEMENT, AND INVASIVE SPECIES CONTROL at DEFENSE FUEL SUPPORT POINT SAN PEDRO, CALIFORNIA
Overview:
There are two federally listed species found at the Defense Fuel Support Point, San Pedro (DFSP):
The Palos Verdes blue butterfly (Glaucopsyche lygdamus paloverdesensis; PVB) was listed as endangered by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in 1980 and the coastal California gnatcatcher (Polioptila californica californica (CAGN)) was listed as threatened in 199 3. Current conservation efforts are conducted in accordance with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) 2019 Biological Opinion, Formal Section 7 Consultation for Routine Maintenance Operations, DFSP, San Pedro, Los Angeles County, California (FWS-LA-08B0606-08F0704).
The principal components of this cooperative agreement are plant rearing of PVB host plants at DFSP for the PVB rearing program, rearing and seed collection of other native plants, weed control, habitat restoration, and vegetative monitoring along established transects.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
1.
Eligible Applicants • Not-for-profit organizations, including civil society, non-governmental organizations, and think tanks that are able to respond to the NOFO, and have experience and expertise working on media literacy programs.
• Cost sharing or matching is not required and is not part of the evaluation criteria.
However, the applicants are encouraged to explore the possibility of a cost-share whenever possible.
2.
Other Eligibility Requirements • In order to be eligible to receive an award, all organizations must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number issued via www.SAM.gov, as well as a valid registration on www.SAM.gov.

Note: Individuals are not required to have a UEI or be registered in SAM.gov.
• Applicants are only allowed to submit one proposal per organization.
If more than one proposal is submitted from an organization, all proposals from that institution will be considered ineligible for funding.
