Space Grant (SG) Quesst Community Overflight STEM Engagement (QCOSE)

The Space Grant (SG) Quesst Community Overflight STEM Engagement (QCOSE) seeks the planning support of individual Consortia or regional collaborations on efforts to work with NASA’s Quesst STEM team to support students and educators in select communities during the overflight campaign of the Quesst

mission.

The main deliverable for this award will be a STEM Engagement Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP).

An essential objective of this planning and design award is to develop an understanding of how NASA and other STEM Engagement professionals may educate, as well as accurately and appropriately inform, community students of the upcoming Quesst mission, without introducing a bias to acoustic perception testing related to the Quesst mission itself.

Preventing that bias is as important an objective in this effort as collecting Strategic Implementation Plans (SIPs) from SG Consortia members.

Therefore, this is strictly a planning and design award with no actual student engagement occurring during the award’s period of performance (PoP).

The NASA Quesst team will combine the deliverables of these awards to develop a comprehensive student engagement plan for the community overflights.
