NIJ FY23 Support for the Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Science Scholars Program

With this solicitation, NIJ seeks proposals to support the Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Science (LEADS) Scholars Program, an ongoing NIJ program designed to increase the in-house research capabilities of law enforcement agencies by building data and research skills of individuals employed by and engaged with these agencies.

The LEADS Scholars Program advances evidence-based policing by supporting the development of research-minded law enforcement professionals and their academic partners through travel, training, research support, and partnership opportunities.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
As cited in 42 CFR Part 51a.3 (a), any public or private entity, including an Indian tribe or tribal organization, faith based and community based organization (as those terms are defined at 25 U.S.C.

450b), is eligible to apply for federal funding.

Public health programs serving medically underserved areas and populations, national and state voluntary autism spectrum disorder organizations, and entities with significant experience and expertise with autism spectrum disorder programs are encouraged to apply.

States that have previously received grants under the Program, State Autism Implementation Grants for Improving Services for Children and Youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders are not eligible to apply.
