Power of Alumni: From Exchange to Action

This program will make America stronger by building the capacity of the U. S. Department of State’s exchange alumni community in El Salvador, a group of influential established and rising leaders with a vested interest in helping the United States advance its policy priorities.

In addition,


it will make America safer by partnering with Salvadoran entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policymakers who are positioned to drive durable economic prosperity and job growth, reducing opportunities for criminal networks in the region.

With more than 7,000 alumni across the country from over 15 exchange programs, the Salvadoran network includes leaders in business, education, technology, public policy, and social innovation

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Organizations eligible to receive Research awards are: state agricultural experiment stations, 1862 and 1890 land-grant colleges and universities, including Tuskegee University and West Virginia State University, 1994 land-grant colleges and universities, research foundations established by land-grant colleges and universities, colleges and universities receiving funds under the Act of October 10, 1962 (16 USC 582a et seq.), accredited schools or colleges of veterinary medicine, and the University of the District of Columbia.

Organizations eligible to receive Extension awards are: 1862 and 1890 land-grant colleges and universities, including Tuskegee University and West Virginia State University, and the University of the District of Columbia.
