OVW FY 2020 Research and Evaluation Initiative

The purpose of the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW)'s Research and Evaluation (R&E) Initiative is to research and evaluate approaches to combating domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

By generating more knowledge about strategies for serving victims and holding

credit:


offenders accountable, communities that benefit from Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) funding will be better equipped to align their work with practices that are known to be effective, and they will be more capable of generating empirical knowledge on the efficacy of new and promising ways of doing things.

R&E is designed to support researcher-practitioner partnerships and a broad range of methods, including qualitative, mixed-method, and quasi-experimental designs.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Participants may be institutions of higher education, for-profit, or non-profit organizations.

Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC) may propose as well, with effort as allowed by their sponsoring agency and in accordance with their sponsoring agency policy.

Proposals may consist of teams from any combination of organizations (e.g., prime and subawardees), but this is not a requirement for award and award will only be made to a single entity.
