The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) invites U. S. institutions in partnership with research centers in low-income countries to submit applications as Research Units (RUs) to participate in the Global Network for Womens and Childrens Health Research.
RUs
will consist of U.S.-based research centers applying as defined by the World Bank.
The RU grantees will become part of a cooperative network in scientific partnership with the NIH to conduct multi-center observational studies and randomized clinical trials evaluating disease process, health and wellness outcomes, and results from interventions in resource-poor settings to address the major causes of maternal, neonatal, infant, and early childhood morbidity and mortality.
