Watershed Assessments for the National Water Quality Initiative in Western Massachusetts

NRCS, an agency under the USDA, in Massachusetts, is seeking proposals from partners to develop watershed assessment plans to support the National Water Quality Initiative through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).

NRCS has $100,000 available and expects to make up to two (2)

credit:


cooperative agreement awards.

Awards will be made to qualifying, eligible organization who has expertise in watershed assessment plans and is specifically capable of using the assessment template found in this funding opportunity.There are 2 watershed assessments to be completed in the western portion of Massachusetts.

These assessments will be based on HUC12 watersheds identified as:
1. South River – HUC12 Code—10802030501—located primarily in the Towns of Ashfield and Conway, Massachusetts 2. Upper Manhan River (Headwaters to North Brook)– HUC12 Code 10802010608—located primarily in the Towns of Westhampton and Southampton, Massachusetts$50,000 is available for each watershed assessment or $100,000 for both; applicants may choose to address one or both.Questions regarding this notice of funding opportunity (NFO) may be submitted until April 7, 202 1. Responses to questions posed will be posted on Grants.gov approximately two weeks before the application due date.
