Ecological studies on Asian carp in the Upper Illinois and Mississippi Rivers

This cooperative agreement is in support of joint research and data collection activities of both USGS and WIU, and is for a continuation of ongoing research being completed under agreement G13AC0006 9. WIU has the facilities, equipment, labor and expertise to provide continuation of research on Asian

carp movement and effectiveness of control technologies.

This cooperative agreement will extend research to include more samples, new geographic areas, and additional methods, and new research to build on previous findings and new technologies.

This research will be valuable to many agencies as they work collaboratively to identify techniques to control the Asian carp.
