Newark Receives a $78,500 State Grant for City Park Renovation

Agency - Land and Water Conservation Trust Fund

Newark has been provided a $78,500 state grant for the renovation of its city park that has been beleaguered by drainage problems.


The project will repair the LeRoy Hill Park's baseball field, located at the corner of Casho Mill and Barksdale roads. According to Charlie Emerson, director of parks and recreation, flooding has been a problem at the park for a long time.
