Water Conservation Field Services Program, Wyoming and Nebraska

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Great Plains Region, Wyoming Area Office, is requesting proposals from eligible applicants to fund projects for activities in support of its Water Conservation Field Services Program, in Federal fiscal year 2009 (October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009).



To be eligible for financial assistance under this Funding Opportunity, the applicant must have a contract with Reclamation?s Wyoming Area Office (WYAO) and have a Water Conservation Plan (WCP) signed by the applicant?s governing body on file with the WYAO.



Water conservation measures are defined as those methods, techniques, policies, practices, procedures, activities, institutional arrangements, structural projects, physical facilities, equipment, or devices which reduce water consumption, reduce water withdrawal or diversion, reduce water loss or waste, improve water use efficiency, or increase water recycling and reuse.

Funds may be used to demonstrate new and innovative approaches to improving irrigation efficiency through implementation of water conservation measures.

Cost-sharing assistance may provide support for capital costs and administrative costs, in-kinds services, or other uses as long as such expenditures support actual project implementation.
